Trump is being maligned for being against women. Hillary is being awarded the women’s champion medal. I have to say really?
Trump’s positions on all the major issues have just as much bearing on women as men. The economy is a woman's issue. Jobs is a woman’s issue. Fair international trade is a woman’s issue. National security is a woman’s issue. Illegal immigration is a woman’s issue, foreign policy is a woman’s issue. These are real women's issues; the ones that directly affect daily lives of women.
Hillary, on the other hand, has been in public life for 30 years. She talks the talk about women's rights. What has she actually delivered? Talk. We hear future promises:
1) Close the pay gap. There is no more pay gap. There used to be, but not anymore, and Hillary had nothing to do with it.
2) Fight for paid leave. Promised by Democrats for decades, never delivered.
3) Make quality, affordable child care a reality for families. Promised by Democrats for decades, never delivered. What would that look like if she did? A tax deduction?
4) Increase the minimum wage. Hardly a women's issue, and more likely to result in fewer minimum wage jobs.
5) Defend and enhance Social Security. Again, hardly just a woman's issue. Defending Social Security from what? Attacking Social Security is political suicide and requires no 'defense'. Enhance? A vague adjective means nothing.
6) Protect and expand on the Affordable Care Act. Ridiculous to protect a failed health care program that is not a women's issue alone.
7) Confront violence against women. As if Trump wouldn't? Who the law and order candidate?
Hillary claims she made women’s rights a cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy. is she serious? Look at the Muslim world throughout the Middle East and tell me women's rights have ever been a 'cornerstone' of foreign policy, especially under her reign as Secretary of State? Empty words.
There is Hillary's hypocrisy also about women's rights. Hillary said less than a year ago that 'women need to be believed' on sexual assaults. true, unless your name is Kathleen Willey, Juanita Broaddrick, or Paula Jones. Hillary worked very hard to discredit these woman for their claims against her husband.
So who is the better choice for actually doing something that will help women? Women want jobs, a good economy, security, safe streets, and health care. They do not need another decade of empty promises.
