This is the first time in 34 years the newspaper has taken sides in a presidential race.
"From the day he declared his candidacy 15 months ago through this week’s first presidential debate, Trump has demonstrated repeatedly that he lacks the temperament, knowledge, steadiness and honesty that America needs from its presidents."

Someone who guards their personal secrets to the point of jeopardizing national secrets is also unfit to be president. Bleachbiting emails AFTER they were subpoenaed and you were told not to delete them shows intent to obstruct justice - no?
If you want someone fit to be president, vote 3rd party.

Well, there is little doubt Trump's candidacy is breaking new ground all over the place. USA Today endorses a candidate for the first time in 34 years, as numerous other right leaning newspapers that never endorsed a Democrat before have come out for Clinton and against Trump, and scores of Republican politicians have announced that they will not be voting for their own party's candidate.
It's just one after another of editorial boards doing this. This is serious business and it is really grating me that the Republican establishment is not stepping up to do the same. They made a grievous error in nominating him. Maybe they can be excused by thinking that he really was not what he appeared to be in the primary. But now, there can be no doubt. Anyone who stands for America can't stand with Trump. Trump is a threat to our nation and the world.

Just because I enjoy splitting that sort of hairs, USA Today has not endorsed anyone. They've just de-endorsed (undorsed? - that needs to be a word) Trump.
