In one of the more sordid episodes in modern American politics, Trump made himself the face of the so-called birther movement, which had as its immediate goal the demonization of the country's first African American president. Trump's larger goal, it seemed, was to stoke fear among white Americans of dark-skinned foreigners. [...] If Hillary Clinton were facing Mitt Romney, or John McCain, or George W. Bush, or, for that matter, any of the leading candidates Trump vanquished in the Republican primaries, we would not have contemplated making this endorsement. [...] But Trump is not a man of ideas. He is a demagogue, a xenophobe, a sexist, a know-nothing, and a liar. [The Atlantic]
Ouch!
Careful Atlantic- Trump may buy you and bury you, lol.
The interesting thing is how no major publication has endorsed trump for president. Heck, Gary Johnson is doing better in that department then Trump is.
Never heard of this paper. I dont give a rats azz if every newspaper in the universe endorses some ultra corrupt hag. ITS THE PEOPLE WHO MATTER, not some elitist rags rum by millionares
Now why on earth would the media feel the need to endorse anyone? They are supposed to be unbiased. They are supposed to be neutral. Their job is to report the news, not opinions, half-truths, unresearched and unsubstantiated truths, or flat out lies.
Their approval rating is at an all-time low because no one trusts them. Everyone, sans a few Hillary supporters, can see that the media is a propaganda machine and nothing more.

It's almost like someone is paying them off....!
The Atlantic is not a news-reporting magazine. It's an opinion/commentary/essay magazine.
And you can bet all your doughnuts that if the Atlantic had published an opinion piece favorable to Trump, Trump would have been waving it around like an endorsement from Ronald Reagan.
I want to thank the Trump supporters who continue to post on C-D. It can't be easy to keep your spirits up while your candidate is almost universally condemned.
Quite frankly I've not seen a literal evisceration like this from any other editorial. They flat out cut his belly open.
Not like the Atlantic.
However you can go back 16 years and William F. Buckley ripped Trump's a$$ back then too, lol.

Newspaper and magazine endorsements don't mean jack squat, and everyone knows it. I wouldn't care if some magazine or paper endorsed Trump, the entity does not vote, the people do. So all of this, "zOMG! The NY Slimes endorsed Clinton!" or this news outlet or that publication or that radio station...as someone said earlier on: Bravo Foxtrot Delta.
