Likely he will issue a more formal apology over the statement if asked and leave it at that.
Let's not forget we are talking about Trump. He thinks he is entitled to do anything he wants. I do hope you are right but I have a feeling he has been festering and festering.

Default Democrats have Wiener, Bill Clinton and as a Democrat Trump sharing female remarks or cheating related issues

They all share being a member of the Democratic party.

Trump is no longer a Democrat and the tape was made 11 years ago when he was a Democrat.

Wiener is still a Democrat and so is Bill Clinton.

Democratic Party the party of sharing ....

Today Trump made comments about the Republicans who are jumping ship and criticizing his comments...likely in a last minute attempt to save their political hopes...but not all...some have been against Trump from the get go...
Anyway Trump called them "self-righteous hypocrites"...

Well, he has no moral ground to call anyone a hypocrite based on his past comments about the Clintons...
When he was a Democrat and sucking up to them during Clinton's Presidency, he was totally supportive of Bill's position being attacked by the Republicans for Lewinsky and other affairs...very sympathetic but also derrogatory about HRC...

Donald Trump used to make light of Bill Clinton's sex scandals. Now they're his main weapon. - CNNPolitics.com

He is a total mess of incoherent juxtaposed opinions....who couldn't tell the truth if he was on fire and calling for help...
Read this article and just see how he viewed Bill Clinton's actions was when he was trying to game the Clintons...
Now he is just trying to game a different political faction...one that seems willing (and oblivious) to be victimized by Trump.
And note how the misogyny flows through ALL the comments... He is a dirty, old man now but he was a dirty younger one then.

Mentioning the unattractiveness of Linda Tripp reminded me of an old SNL skit where she was played by John Goodman.

I wonder why this wasn't found sooner (or was it?) I mean, Hillary hasn't mentioned it before. Trump is really praising Clinton for doing an excellent job.

It's also interesting that he predicted his own candidacy would be controversial because of all his women.

Just to be clear, Democrats think it's OK that Hillary takes millions of dollars from the Saudis, people who burn their women alive for infidelity. Where women are owned by their husband and made to wear a towel over their heads.

Where women are worth less than cattle and certainly cars.

But Donald's comments, poached from a PRIVATE conversation when he was a PRIVATE citizen you have a problem with.

A conversation that every male in this country has had in locker rooms and on golf courses before.

What is wrong with you people?
