Yes, I am OK with that. Obama is not unique. Other presidents have been elected to office whose Senate careers were brief. Some Senate experience is better than none. I don't buy into the fairy tale that we can fix what's wrong with American politics by electing someone who is not a politician. I also think that our next leader needs to be able to think globally. Nationalism is short-sighted and is what gets us into wars.
