In 2008, Obama was singing a different tune, bragging about rigging the election in Ohio.

Not only was he bragging about rigging the election but he made another point in the video.

He says he wants people to have information.
WikiLeaks is information but the left doesn't want people to have that because it shines the light on their corruption and double speak. Looks bad for the elite democrat leaders who want to retain power at any cost. Aided by MSM/state run media. The hell with standards and ethics or laws. That is for the other side because we are so special. If they believed in god they would likely say its because god is on their side. That is a well worn out phrase often made to demonize an enemy. Obama has described the GOP as the enemy before and equates them to terrorist. He is a POS along with crooked Hillary who constantly divides people and we will never be united under their kind of corruption.

That is not what the video says at all. First, candidate Obama was making a joke about how it was good that the Democrats of Ohio controlled the voting process, implying that if Republicans were in charge, rigging might be possible. He then noted that both parties have a history of monkeying around with votes (citing his home of Chicago).

Mr. Obama then seriously spoke of how the voting process should be overseen by non-partisan organizations, and how, for electronic voting, there needs to be a 'paper trial' so that the actual vote may be compared to the electronic vote if any question arose.

He also urged people to watch both of the conventions (R and D), so that they may have information to help them decide whom to vote for.

I don't think Obama was saying Democrats would rig Ohio.

This is akin to Democrats taking out of context the guy in Pennsylvania who said Photo ID would let Romney win Pennsylvania. When in context it was clear that he was saying that Photo ID would cut out enough voter fraud that Romney could win...NOT that it would suppress black votes, which is the way that Maddow and others on here spun it out of context.

WikiLeaks is information.
No different than wire tapping telephones illegally like Nixon liked to do. Are you saying illegally obtained and possibly doctored/modified information is what you want. Hacking is a criminal offense. People go to prison for it. If it were discovered that Microsoft hacked Apple, Bill Gates would have to answer for it, wouldn't he?

What is funny is that Bush-Obama wire tap everyday without a warrant and there is evidence that tapping is going on outside of the Patriot Act's parameters.

The Patriot Act was only controversial when Bush was doing it - once Obama renewed it with a Democratically controlled congress, the Democrats went silent on their opposition - that is until it gets renewed by Republicans in the future.

You always seem to keep things real and post in a fair balanced way. Thanks for putting President Obama's joke in context. Reminds me of the huge number of threads saying Mrs Clinton doesn't like everyday Americans......totally out of context.
