Your point might be valid if only rallies constituted a significant portion, or any portion at all, of POTUS duties and activities.
(Sadly that would become the case though if Trump were elected.)

To paraphrase Alec Baldwin's Trump, the proof that the media is against him is that they "take all of the things I say and all of the things I do and put them on TV.” Trump sank Trump all by himself.
