I think you are confused about the difference between"opposing" and "obstructing. Also, the GOP is not the out of power party, since they control both chambers of Congress.

PS I am not a Dem, and I already voted, and it was not for Hillary (it wasn't for Trump either).

You're supposed to love your country enough to compromise with the other side.
That's exactly how democracy is supposed to work. Whoever gets voted in is supposed to work together to govern the nation.

When President Obama took office, we were a nation at war, our economy was in a free fall, people were losing their jobs, health insurance costs were rising until a lot of Americans were priced out of the market... and Senator Mitch McConnell announces, “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

What the hell?

Then Republicans proceeded to obstruct efforts to get the economy rolling, shut down the government, stood up in Congress and called the President a liar (btw, he was not lying), signed a letter to Iran telling them not to trust any agreement this administration negotiated...

It was treason.

They reduce funding for embassy security then spent a Gawdawful amount of taxes and time holding partisan political hearings to blame inadequate security at Benghazi on Clinton.

Now Republicans, well some of them at least, are running a ridiculous con man for President. Trump will make off with the Breitbart/Tea Party/KKK crowd leaving the GOP with the self-righteous. Good luck with that.

Instead of being part of making our country the best we can be, they'll be consigned to the history books as a bunch of treasonous, old, white men, yearning for long-lost causes.

Really very simple.
Cruz and McCain are saying that no one she nominates will be approved and appointed. That the GOP will refuse ANY nominee put forth by Madam President.

How hypocritical for these chimp Senators to insist that the vacancy on SCOTUS should be filled by the next President. . . . and if their guy doesn't win, they move the goal post once again to say they won't let the next President fill the vacancy under any circumstances. Democrats have been nice and wussy for too long; if they take control of the Senate, they should seriously consider using the super duper nuclear option. What happened to the Republican Party?

Oh, lookie! It's someone who doesn't have a clue why we vote!

Hint: We expect the people we elect to act on our behalf, not just go with the flow.

One would think that the Senate has to recess for three days at some point. However, the Senate Republicans are dedicated to their work!

Since Senators McCain and Cruz have decided to turn the Supreme Court of the United States into a Death Pool game, let's take a look, shall we?

Ruth Bader Ginsburg (L) Born 03/15/1933; Age 83 years, 7 months, 12 days
Anthony Kennedy (C) Born 07/23/1936; Age 80 years, 3 months, 4 days
Stephen Breyer (L) Born 08/15/1938; Age 78 years, 2 months, 12 days
Clarence Thomas (C) Born 06/23/1948; Age 68 years, 4 months, 4 days
Saumel Alito (C) Born 04/01/1950; Age 66 years, 6 months, 26 days
Sonia Sotomayor (L) Born 06/25/1954; Age 62 years, 4 months, 2 days
John Roberts (C) Born 01/27/1955; Age 61 years, 9 months, 0 days
Elena Kagan (L) Born 04/28/1960; Age 56 years, 5 months, 29 days

From the looks of it, it would appear that the GOP SCOTUS Death Pool method of refusing to confirm Supreme Court justices would tend to cause the court to either be split evenly or lean conservative for the next 10 years, when it will probably dwindle down to 3 conservative and 2 liberal justices.

Of course, Supreme Court justices have more duties than simply deciding cases brought before the SCOTUS, they are also circuit court justices as well. Five justices for 13 circuit courts might cause the justices to get somewhat overextended though, three of them would have to handle 3 circuit courts while the other two could get away with only two circuit courts.

Or they don't acknowledge her Presidency or her right to even run. She is a criminal, not a candidate.
