He was NOT in charge of her probe at the time of the legal political donation to a Democratic politician running for office, and I'm not sure how you think they would know he would be . Are you suggesting that the Clintons simply flung a half million dollars at every single person that might possibly be appointed to head a probe into her emails ? Really ?
As for choosing HRC over the moron Trump , if I were to do so, it would be akin to having to select between being shot in the face with a squirt gun full of urine (Clinton) vs being hit in the face with a pie tin full of feces (Trump) . First question: Did the fundraising event on June 26, 2015 even raised $500k?????
This is a key question because according to reports last year, the said fundraising only raised about $237k; and only $148k went to the PAC (the rest to the state Democratic Party and other political groups).
The Democratic Party of Virginia’s monthly filing to the Federal Election Commission show that just over $208,000 was raised during the month of June. Only $78,650 of the contributions came on June 26.
An analysis of each itemized contribution made during this period shows that only $237,000 of that was given on June 26 and that the bulk of the cash on that date came from Democratic state groups such as $65,000 from the House Democratic Caucus and $60,000 from the Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus.
Common Good VA, a committee set up by McAuliffe to raise political donations during his time as governor, also took some of the money raised through the dinner. Common Good VA took in $148,000 on June 26, according to the committee’s most recent campaign filing.
If the event only raised $148k for the PAC, then the headline of this thread is completely bogus!!!! Furthermore, the VA Democratic party and other groups took some of the money, so the idea that this event was to raise money for the PAC to bribe someone is also bogus!!!
If the raised money went to multiple groups, it does not seem like this was an event that was targeted for raising money to Common Good VA; rather, Common Good VA is just one of several beneficiaries.
If the PAC only raised about $148k, then the $500k (or the rest of it) donation must have came from somewhere else; that means a direct link from Hillary cannot be drawn.
Again, if the reports from 2015 are correct; then this fundraising event is merely to raise fund for several Democratic groups; and it looks like Common Good VA came up with most (if not all) of the $500k outside of this Hillary fundraising event.

It pains me.
Hillary never gave her own money. She just helped other people give.
So we must ascribe to Hillary the amount of extra donations because she helped.
Say perhaps 10%. That means Hillary's input resulted in an extra $15k given to this PAC.
