Voted absentee about a week ago here in Ohio. Glad I did because there are write-in candidates (they had to register/qualify as a write-in candidate), I wouldn't have known who they were if I had just gone to my polling station. Plus, I researched a lot of the candidates for lower offices before deciding who to give my vote to. Thanks to Kasich and state senators and reps from both parties, most third parties are having a very difficult time getting on the balllot, including the Constitution Party. Only people who are allowed to sign their petitions are Ohioans who have voted for a couple years. I was tempted to vote for the CP's write-in candidate but with Ohio being a swing state and the election so tight between Hillary and Donald I knew I needed to vote for one of the two.
As for Trump supporters making it a circus at polling stations, that kind of stuff happens every four years at different places around the country. I'd rather see that than thugs beating people up, damaging their property, or intimidating them from voting because of who they support.
I already voted for Clinton, but after last night's news I may have to vote for her again a few times. You know how us Dems are.
I voted early in-person this week. I voted THREE TIMES for Clinton for President. All in person at the polls. Nobody stopped me. Ha Ha Ha Ha. Read it and weep, Trumpettes.
Spoiler
Twice for Bill Clinton in the 90s and once for Hillary Clinton in 2016
Received my ballot in the mail, and enjoyed voting for Clinton, Harris (for Senate), legalizing marijuana, repealing the death penalty, rejecting condoms in porn, and yes to background checks for ammunition purchases.
Any regrets knowing AFTER you cast your vote for HER that the FBI is lookin into HER again?
I voted day 1- over and done with- 15 min wait tops-- In past elections- I have been in lines for hours once or twice- then did some mail ins-?? always wondered- (now at least one can check on line) -- but early voting ins the way to go-- will be my choice- until I am too old--
We voted Oct. 27 in KS, smaller town. No lines, but there was a constant stream. We only have maybe 6 machines and you vote at the county courthouse and have to go through a metal detector and run your bags/wallets, etc. through the xray machine. No stun guns allowed either by the entrance. Also, had to wear a vest over my Trump t-shirt.
I voted on Wednesday. No lines, no crazies. Voted for Johnson, down-ballot and local issues.
