I was planning to wear my Make America Great Again hat to vote until I found out this may be actually illegal. Why? Every time I go to vote there are people from both parties loitering around.

since make american great again is a trump campaign slogan, wearing the hat with it on there is considered "campaigning" and if you wear it within 75ft of a polling place, its considered illegal campaigning.

Just wear a red shirt, and watch your back. Never, ever trust a democrat.

Depends on where you live.

In some states, you are not allowed to vote or be within so many feet of the polling place if you have political buttons, shirts, hats, etc.

Some states, you can wear whatever you want as long as you are not campaigning.

I vote in North Carolina and saw two people refused a ballot and told to stand back where people were passing out pamphlets for wearing politically inappropriate t-shirts in the primaries.

Our Queen – Red Hat Rovers
Haha, that's what I thought too when I saw the thread title.

Last election I saw some Romney shirts on voters, not staff, at the election booth and no one seemed to care. I'd guess it probably depends on your location.

EDIT: I personally would not wear anything to promote a candidate, but that's just me.

How do you even find out? I know for sure there are plenty of campaign signs as I enter my polling place.

I searched for "Can you wear a red hat to your polling place?" and it was the top hit. Thanks.
