Mr. Trump stated numerous times that he will give back the power to the states. This is showing to me Mr. Trump is not a dictator nor does he want to tell the states what to do.

Mr. Trump said he will give power to the states on education and get rid of Common Core which the Federal government is dictating to the states on how to educate their children.

Mr. Trump will give power back to the states on many other policies making the states stronger for their people . This in itself is in the right direction. We know the federal government under President Obama has been very dictatorial to the states not allowing their rights to go forward and has been a problem for the people.
This will put the power in the peoples hands not the federal government who is not allowing the states to decide the issues .

Do you think the states should have more power?

You do know you just made a racist remark. The left breeds racists because that is what they do . Divide people by race and color. The racists are the democrats and always has made racists remarks.

I miss the good old days when 1/2 the States banned gay marriage and 1/2 allowed it.

It was so much more easier to know where those kind of people lived.

Living in the South, I can assure you that that would be absolutely horrendous. Many of the states down here behave in a patently immoral manner, especially as it pertains to their most important priority, how their society treats its most vulnerable members. We have government officials - not right-wing nut-jobs living in the backwoods but actual government officials - regularly placing the comfort and luxury of the rich over the basic needs of the poor. We have government officials bombastically championing one or more of the deplorable perspectives: racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, Islamophobia, self-ratified self-motivation, callous disregard for those less fortunate. It's rampant. Even with the federal government involved as much as it is today, we're seeing some of these states actively working to disenfranchise American citizens on the basis of race or economic status. Sometimes it seems as if the only thing holding back the re-institution of slavery is the federal government.
