Trump’s incredulity that Clinton could be a suitable military leader is rooted in a long history of men doubting that female politicians could cut it on national security.

How about if 2 out of 3 refuse to take any orders she gives? That would be a problem for her.

Refusing orders is a court martial offense. I'd love to see a General Officer or two who has taken the oath of office try that plenty of capable leaders coming up the pike.
Why should I care about the military vote? They are ordinary voters like the rest of us. Their opinions don't carry more weight than anybody else's.
Because when it comes to intervention in the Middle East, active military personnel don't want us there. They want to be home, protecting our borders like the Constitution says. They told us that when their donations in 2012 overwhelmingly went to the only candidate who said he was going to bring the troops home.
They may say they back Trump, but donations tell another story:

As noted in the article, donations do not always translate to votes, but it is an interesting contradiction.
