Authoritarian dictators in history started out being hugely popular and lied blatantly right through their teeth while their supporters soaked all those lies up willingly.
It is really sad that trump feels he has to lie about so many things that are easily proven to be lies. It is almost as though he is a compulsive liar, or maybe doesn't have a good grip on reality. No matter what the reason, it makes him an extreme loose cannon, and unsafe to have as president.

I'm more sad that Trump supporters don't care about Trump blurring truth and lie so blatantly.
Look at this case, for example. Everyone knows Obama is a gentleman and would never do what Trump claimed he did. And there's even a video proving that Obama absolutely did not do what Trump claimed he did. And yet, Trump supporters cheered and roared in support of such a blatant lie.
Where are all the Trump defenders? Usually, there are whole gangs of them try to distort reality to defend Trump.
