Yes, you're correct, trump could very well prove when elected to just be another bought and sold person in the end but we don't know that yet. He's a different breed for sure. For now, we know he speaks out big time against donors/the bought and sold nature of the system and that alone I think has educated a lot of people on that matter and is refreshing to many including myself. Sanders did the same, I liked him for it then, until he sold out but that's another story and now plays with the people he once rallied against. You know, a hypocrite. But what we DO KNOW about hil though is she's a typical establishment politician and pulling in big money from donors and is way ahead of trump in pulling in big money by a large margin over trump:

Hillary Clinton Is Outraising Trump 20-to-1 Among Billionaires - Bloomberg

https://www.opensecrets.org/news/201...all-50-states/

So yes, if you like the typical bought and sold type/where big donors pull the strings, you know who to vote for.

The comparison is not accurate. The Clinton emails were likely hard copy and had to be either scanned and ocred or read by humans. That is vastly harder to do than an email file in a proper digital format. And then some large set of the initial emails had to sent to other agencies for screening and then likely had to negotiate between them and the State Dept.

That is a vastly different scenario.

Longer, yes. But if proper resources are available, ie people/equipment, like anything, it can be done quickly. It's not brain surgery to feed and/or hand scan analog documents and make them digital. And I'm willing to bet they had digital version of emails too so it wasn't a 100% scanning operation.

If there's a will, there's a way. And the will seemed to be different in both cases here. So we are back to the question.....why? That's a rhetorical question by the way as you or I don't know for sure. But in the sleazy world of politics and 2 tier justice and where money and power is involved and political appointments rule the day by team A or team B, I think the sky is the limit on the "why?". And it's valid and intelligent to question the "why".

Spot on. I'll be happy to put my banana republic hat on vs the tinfoil hat for certain to get a feel of how to formulate a rational conclusion in said environment. And man, that's a scary hat to wear in such a republic!

The above shouldn't take more than a hour or two.

Then run a duplication detection program to eliminate all emails already analyzed by the FBI.
This gives a much smaller subset needing manual review.

The average lifespan of a laptop is bout 4 years - this gives little overlap with Hillary's 2009-2012 term.
^This, plus all hands on deck to get the investigation done ASAP. It's not like Comey was sitting in the basement by himself, scanning all the emails. The FBI has big teams. Yuge!

And after Comey unethically released a premature story that ABSOLUTELY affected the election, the FBI had to scramble to save the last shred of their dignity, so they put all resources on board.

People that need someone else to explain to them that more than one person was scanning emails, and that formulas can be used to eliminate most of them have no critical thinking skills whatsoever. It's no wonder those are the ones who want to vote for trump and keep their low-paying, unskilled jobs. Trump loves the uneducated, and this is why. The smart people are understanding that their textile jobs and their coal mining jobs are going away, but that (If they'd let us), their economic development boards are trying to retrain them in skilled jobs; raising their pay, raising their tax-base, raising our economy, and keeping America great at what we are great at, innovation and leadership. The world still looks up to America, and a Trump Presidency would destroy that.

You can't backup emails created before the day you purchase the laptop? You might want to rethink that statement.

Actually I thought it was very slow. This scan could have have been done in a couple of days, tops, given the resources of the FBI. They must have done an extremely thorough job for it to take eight days! Kind of makes you wonder if they sat on the result.
