Romney won the popular vote as well. Were you upset with that election?
Trump should have lost and needed to loose. Too bad the Dems picked an even worse candidate.
And Minnesota is solid blue.

Of all the states of the union, Minnesota would probably be the most successful independent. We have farming, oil, mining, high tech and heavy manufacturing. We also have a very friendly neighbor in Canada.

But not a word here on secession thank God.

If you go to the south, that breaks down further by race. Rural counties that voted for Democrats for the last few elections were often predominantly Black counties.

You can find corruption in the rural conservative areas too.

Minnesota has everything except oil. However, it can get oil from Canada and it has two oil refineries.

There is oil, they just won't let them get it. Which I agree with. I hate the process to get that oil.

There are 3 16" high pressure crude oil pipelines from Canada where most of our oil comes from.

Hillary didn't even win 1/2 the vote.

At this point, with this country this polarized, I would prefer the country split. I don't want to subsidize red states anymore. Blue states always give more federal dollars than they receive while red states take more than they contribute. So split the country. I have no use for rural America.
Really? Here's a news flash: it's called the country's bread basket. Try eating if those losers you mock decide to cut off your food. And don't say you'll grow it yourself, because the water you'll need to grow it also comes from those same losers. After you've devoured your diploma, how will you eat?

Here's why Clinton lost in a nutshell. Regular folks are sick of the arrogant, entitled elitists that think they're better than everyone. THAT'S what those votes were for. To remind you and your ilk that you really don't know what's best for most Americans.

I lived in California for almost 20 years, and New York for 18, and there's plenty of rednecks in both of those states. Guess when the country splits, they'll have to figure out a way to make them leave?

Safe to say that will not happen for the next four years.

Trump is a Keystone Pipeline fan (talking to you Stein). He also favors 'taking' oil from the mideast.

Up until this year. The last time Minnesota went red was in '76 I believe.
