Hillary lost because of a combination of a few reasons.
1. Democrats as a whole need to get back on message about the economy and jobs. I am all for gay rights and minorities, but the liberal elite has been shoving the transgender bathroom stuff and so on down our throats. Those rural voters on the rust belt states were tired of that, being called racist if they don't agree and the lack of focus on jobs. Hence PA, Ohio, Wisconsin and Michigan went red.
Pretty much absurd. There are no people looking for jobs in CA? Only Wisconsin, Michigan and PA count? How does that work?
And what on God's earth has that to do with transgender bathrooms. You really need to sort you issues better

Yup. We elected a disaster. With a significant minority of the vote. And now we have to do what we always do in these cases...out last him.
That was plenty enough for many people. When enough people get tired of being demonized, mocked, shouted down, insulted, shamed, and/or ignored, they'll vote for whatever the people doing those things don't want, even if they don't really want it either. For many voters, this election was first and foremost a message to everyone in the cozy little relationship you're referring to that there's still one vital place where you can't shut us up or ignore us, and that's the ballot box.

AMEN. Outside of the Acela Belt and left coast, no one takes a party seriously when letting Johnnie in the bathroom with Joanie matters most to the party.
And, no, things aren't going to be okay. Not for a good long while. The next four years will be a calamity. Recession and war loom, not to mention total administrative chaos.

They want some long haired, fashionable, etc to represent the first woman. Not Hilary. I know the Jess Ventura voter. I'm a millennial. I know TONS who are stocking up on popcorn ready to watch the **** show starting January 20th. They're already watching. They were all over my Facebook now they're.....silent. Watching and giggling.
Also both party have the one trick pony to pander votes. Democrats go all gay rights and immigration to get votes and Republicans just say Roe v. Wade and it's yes, yes abortion is THE #1 thing. Every republican has pushed it hard....Trump said jobs and that was different.
The problem is MOST republicans, the sane ones say okay I'm against it BUT it's not the end all. Bush Jr didn't get rid or it, Reagan didn't so it's not a hot priority.
Democrats need to stop Hispandering because they're a fickle bunch. More so than anyone. Say the right thing and they vote for you. Say one thing out of line and all of a sudden it's Viva whatever their country of descendant origin.....thus the Cuban voter in Florida. If he has said ALL Hispanics and had not kept harping on Mexicans specifically Florida would have been blue. I live in TX. The Hispanic vote is trippy. Mention them specifically and they're against you. If not it's "well....I'm El Salvadorian....he's talking about Mexicans not me so *shrugs*"
Republicans need the Benny Hinn bunch to keep coming out so they say the right things with 2nd amendment and abortion to keep the crazies clicking red. The majority are smarter and not so swayed by simply acting all Orange is the New Black Pennsatucky and saying "guns"
