What border wall, dear? In Giuliani's own words, "The wall is going to take a while".

I will also predict that, as the new Trump administration begins to rack up successes, many non Republicans will jump ship and vote Republican in future elections. We may very well be witnessing the demise of the democrat party, in it's present form.
The problem is that both parties routinely over-promise and under-deliver. Trump certainly set the bar awfully high for himself. We'll see if he manages to deliver. We can fully expect to see the Dems going out of their way to sabotage Trump at every turn. Their supporter pretty much demand that they do so.

Whether it's 4 years or 8 years, the nation will continue to flip back and forth until the American people realize that the two party system isn't working and it isn't delivering the results they want to see. Eventually, third parties will grow stronger and the D & R monopoly on power will be broken. Put three or four equally represented parties in Congress and you'll see what we've been missing: Political parties forced to work together in order to accomplish anything at all.

That should tell you a lot. But it probably won't.
This has always bothered me. Border states must be most receptive to border security but it is apparently not the case. Anyway, Trump can't roll back what has already happened. I'll be happy if he stops new illegals.

Considering the Democrats will now control next to nothing above the municipal level, this thread is pretty funny.

Arizona won't turn before Texas. Texas is a lot more diverse. The five big metro areas of Texas plus the Rio Valley border area are blue/purple and a ton of California companies have moved to Texas the last ten years.

California, Hawaii, New Mexico and Texas are the only states where minorities, or those not identifying themselves as non-Hispanic whites, already make up the majority of the population. The latest estimates suggest the next states in line to surpass this threshold are Nevada (48.5 percent minority), Maryland (47.4 percent minority) and Georgia (45.7 percent minority).

However, I don't see Texas in the next 20-25 years ever being like the liberals of the east or west coast. I just see it as becoming more like Florida, a swing state, maybe THE swing state because its population is a 3rd bigger than Florida and more than twice as big as Ohio.

Unless we pass e-verify and all those "citizens" suddenly disappear.

Why is it assumed that liberals don't have jobs by so many on the right? I have a job that pays pretty well and I'm liberal...
