Trump has a very clear mandate to do (and undo) some big things. Most states have republican governors and legislatures, and Congress is in republican hands. That's a mandate if there ever was one.

Now if only he could flip Washington state... Wishful thinking though with all the liberals in Seattle.

The Dems could run Scott Peterson and Charles Manson and as long as they had the "D" next to their name they'd win this state.

Don't care though... still voted for Trump.

Got W elected last time, got Trump this time, of course you are happy it's working for you.

Keeps the NY rich from running the country.

The insults and name calling of those who choose differently swayed a lot of voters. Take a lesson please.

No, they can't continue with this because their definition of "educated" is different. When progressive liberals talk about the uneducated, they are referring to the people who haven't been brainwashed in cultural marxism.

To tell you the truth I was praying the whole election night that the common people would have a say. We are now going to get things done for all Americans .

The left will try to hinder Trumps changes but we know it is for the good of the common people.

Trump supporters are truly discriminatory... believing that Americans aren't equal!
Yes.

The President is decided by the Electoral College and the Electoral College only. Were you not aware of this? You can't just rewrite the rules retroactively b/c you're not happy with the result. If the popular vote counted, both campaigns (Clinton's included) would have implemented a different strategy. In defense of the Clinton campaign, at least it hasn't been dumb enough (unlike its supporters) to claim that HRC should be President b/c of a (potential) popular vote victory (we're still quite a ways away from the final tally).

But, but, but... the blue wall! That will guarantee the GOP will never win!
Don't forget "demographics" as well. According to all the "experts," the blue wall and demographics would guarantee that the Democrats were going to win every presidential election until the end of time.

More than any other single reason (including the fact that HRC was such a flawed candidate), supreme cockiness on the part of the Democrats was the reason why they lost. And I'm sad to say that I was naive enough to believe all the "experts" (at least to a certain extent, although I did think that the GOP would win in 2020 because Americans would want a huge change after 12 years of Democratic rule), which is why I was so pessimistic about Trump's chances. Because Trump proved so many people wrong, he is deserves the full support of every single Republican (which is why prominent NeverTrumpers such as Glenn Beck and Erick Erickson choose to now support Trump).

maybe you called in sick the day your public school taught American Civics or whatever country you got your education from........we don't elect our Presidents by national Popular Vote or by mob rules , we use Electoral College. If we did all you Democrats need to do is flood California, New York, Texas and Florida and Illinois with more illegals and always win the W.H.

Both candidates campaigned to win the electoral vote not the popular vote........that's the rules of the game to win, if the loser barely won the national popular vote is insignificant.

the winner of a football game is who has the most points scored, not who won the time of possession or who got the most yards or less penalties. If it was then the game plan for each team would change.

Trump wasn't campaigning to win the popular vote, he was campaigning to win the Electoral college just like Hillary did......if Popular Vote had any meaning, then Trump would have been in California, New York, New Jersey and every big city and ignore the Midwest rural places to try to get independents and Republicans to come out and vote.

so you democrats stop crying about the popular vote, it doesn't matter.....just like in Football, is not the stats that matter, it only matter who has the most points at the end of a game.

You are absolutely correct.

But my OP was based on 2008.

(and as a resident of NC, Hillary spent 10s of millions to flip it back. she was on local TV 24 hours/day for the past month. must have cost a fortune to buy that many adverts.)

He won, fine. Happy now?! We are happy for his zombie following herd...too bad he'll ruin the Anericam dream for millions of folks and that includes the rural uneducated poor white people that put him in there.
