When I picked up my ballot and went to the booth, of course the first thing on my mind was the presidency. But I wasn't ready to mark that yet, so I moved on. After marking off the local seats, I went to the 4 ballot questions which here in Massachusetts interested me. Once I answered those, then I went back to the top of the ballot to make my choice for president.

My mind churned. I don't trust Hillary at all. It's not a slam dunk just because she's a Democrat. And I'm nervous about Trump due to his lack of political experience, but I've always wished for a businessperson in office and I thought he fit the bill. I knew Hillary will win big in Massachusetts (which she did), so technically a vote for Trump would have been a throwaway vote (unless you're all hung up on that 1 vote towards the popular vote). My mother thinks anyone who votes for Trump is a criminal, so I can make Mom happy by voting for Hillary. I voted for Hillary, and as I was doing this I was silently telling Trump to prove me wrong once you're elected.

Walking out of the polling place, I was excited to watch TV that night to see if the rest of the country would do the impossible, and do what I was wishing for. And they did - Trump won.

I thought to myself: "I hope my vote makes a difference and please let Trump win!"

I know what I was thinking. Trickle down economics, net neutrality, climate change, the amount of false alt right propghanda that I saw on Facebook. It was disturbing this cycle. It is still rolling strong. I saw articles about "Pro Hillary Supports Storm Marine Corp Ball". Looked it up google, found an article about how a Marine Bar Crawl saw protesters. This type of story manipulation is poisoning the country. Allen West is race baiting and dividing every hour.

Anyway, I am pissed the FCC is probably going to allow cable providers charge a rental fee for the stupid box.

I just though I was glad that there was an actual choice this time and I wanted one more vote for Trump, even though I'm not in a battleground state. There was some satisfaction that it would hurt Hillary, even if just a tiny bit. I didn't vote in the last few elections, because I didn't like either party, mostly because both candidates were being funded by the same people, therefore there was no real choice.

Like the OP, I started with the other races first, then.

"Time to make up my mind, finally."
"Hillary... wait, no... I just can't trust her. I don't like Trump but let's do it. He can be a better leader."

I thought about my two Daughters and My Granddaughter and Hillary and Obama wanting to bring in Women stoning forced marriage to 12 year olds and throwing gays off rooftops.
