A year ago, did you think Republicans were about to be wiped out due to demographic changes?

I couldn't vote in your poll. None of the options represent my view.

I still do. Trump has DESTROYED the GOP as we knew it. The GOP just doesn't know it yet. One year from now, they'll probably be catching on. Stay tuned and bookmark this post.

Republicans control most states and the House by a large margin. Heck most of the Democrats in the House are only from 3 states that are heavily populated, otherwise the disparity would be even greater.
So despite the MSM trying to pretend liberalism is the dominate ideology, conservatives and moderates are the majority in this country.

Though I thought Hillary would probably win (Kasich man myself), I am on record in several threads over the past few years saying that I thought that in the long term, it was the DEMOCRATS who are dying off.

Check out posts 5, 20, and 26.

For pure comedy, check out some of the the responses, especially 27.

I am so very happy that we can now stack the Supreme Court. Libs/Dems keep up this silly meme of "wait until next time." They just don't get that it is all over for them FOR DEMOGRAPHIC REASONS.

It certainly looks you may have bee correct. I wouldn't have guessed that....I've maintained for some time that Republicans have to get greater Asia & Hispanic support to survive and it looks they are gradually doing that.

The MSM certainly gave the impression the Republican party was in disarray and having a veritable civil war within the party, Hillary was leading in all the polls and Trump didnt have a chance, well that was then this is now,Trump and the Repubs are in full control of everything.Amazing how all the political pundits on all the talk shows and all the polls could get it so wrong.

A) They are getting greater Asian and Hispanic support. As Hispanics become educated and intermarry with whites (which they do on massive levels) they vote more Republican. Wait until Asians get tired of affirmative action to see California flip and liberalism finished.

B) The great baby boom of Mexico and South America is over, so there are less impovershed illegals to come here and have children who vote democrat.

B) White liberals don't have children, whereas white conservatives do, so over time, whites will go more and more firmly republican.

Long term demograpchics favor the GOP, and the Democrats did it to themselves with their hateful and lawless policies.

Interesting theory that I'm not discounting.

many other conservatives voted -- like me -- to let the Republican party know we were mad as H@!! and we we weren't going to keep voting in their establishment do nothing candidates. I want them to come more toward the center. We'll see.
We need to concentrate on the economy and jobs, not who uses which bathroom or who marries whom.
