When she and the HRC crowd tell the public "It won't change the outcome of the election." you can bet that their plot is to change the outcome and they will use every trick in the book to do that by hook or by crook.
I believe that too, but short of that IMO this recount baloney is just the initial installation of the Democrat and other leftwings underhanded efforts to put every stumbling block they can manufacture into Trump's presidency. Attempting to de-legitimize him in their eyes is just the beginning.
I think the Democratic Party is pretty much done at this point... ironic that the history of Presidential elections and only Democrats keep asking for recounts... doesn't bold well for your party... Merry Christmas...
At this point, the political pendulum has swung in the GOP's favor. The election wasn't a completely blowout. If the Dems play their cards right, they can bounce back from this.
Cards they need to throw away:
The Racist Card
The Bigot Card
The Misogynist Card
The Hate Card
If they stop accusing everyone who disagrees with them of being one of those things and they've got a future. Keep beating the drum and tossing out unfounded accusations at everyone who doesn't think like them, then their future will quickly evaporate.

Of course the Dems can bounce back -- despite Trump's narrow victory, Democrats gained seats in both the Senate and the House.
I agree with you that outrage over sexism, racism, etc. only go so far. Like Bernie Sanders said, being a woman is not enough to win the election -- you have to campaign on meat and potatoes issues that matter to Joe and Jane.
One party rule of government is unstable because when bad news occurs the party in power gets all the blame. This will be the Democrats best opportunity -- if there is a bad recession, or Trump and Congress badly fumble the Obamacare replacement, Trump and R's will get the boot.

Don't forget HRC's best gift of all = The Deplorables!!!!

The few seats democrats gained, with the perfect storm for them (presidential election, 2:1 GOP seats being up for grabs in senate), will be lost quickly in 18 when dems will be protecting 2:1 of the senate seats with many of them being in red states plus the higher GOP turnout in midterm election will lead to republicans gaining seats in both houses. Republicans are also one state away from controlling the needed amount of state legislators to pass constitutional amendments without democrat support.
I could see dems making inroads in the senate in 2020, but barring a complete f up the pendulum will continue to swing towards republicans in 2018.
Actually, the True The Vote group is collecting data for a report on the effect of illegal voting on election results nationwide, and is asking for volunteers to help.
For the people on the autism spectrum (and that includes the news media) who take everything literally, Donald Trump frequently uses hyperbole to make a point. So, for example, if Trump says he saw millions of people with red umbrellas on the streets of San Francisco, he means "a lot" not that you should hope to count at least 2 million people in the rain with red umbrellas in that California city.
Your suitcase doesn't actually weigh a ton, your grandmother isn't as old as the hills and you aren't actually dying of shame.
He uses hyperbole frequently so before you all get buggy and say he makes outrageous claims or he's a liar, think just maybe you missed that day in English class when literary devices were being discussed.
"Hyperbole, derived from a Greek word meaning “over-casting” is a figure of speech, which involves an exaggeration of ideas for the sake of emphasis. It is a device that we employ in our day-to-day speech. For instance, when you meet a friend after a long time, you say, “Ages have passed since I last saw you”. You may not have met him for three or four hours or a day, but the use of the word “ages” exaggerates this statement to add emphasis to your wait. Therefore, a hyperbole is an unreal exaggeration to emphasize the real situation."
"...[T]the Republican Party of Wisconsin is poised to file a federal elections complaint against both Stein and Democrat Hillary Clinton. The complaint provided by GOP officials alleges that Stein —- who received only a modest number of votes — is improperly requesting and fundraising to pay for a recount that can benefit only Clinton.
The fundraising being done by Stein is effectively being done to help Clinton —- the second-place finisher behind GOP Presidential-elect Donald Trump — and amounts to improper coordination between the two campaigns, the draft complaint to the Federal Elections Commission alleges.
"Clinton stands as the only actor that would benefit from a recount taking place in Wisconsin or elsewhere," the complaint reads. "As outlined below, the Clinton campaign’s direct involvement in the recount process, which was announced well before the recount itself was paid for and finalized, demonstrates a clear link between the actions of the Stein campaign and the strategic goals of the Hillary for America."
...Stein's own running mate, Ajamu Baraka, has questioned publicly whether it's the right course for the Green Party nominee to pursue the recount in Wisconsin and other states such as Pennsylvania and Michigan.
"I'm not in favor of the recount," Baraka told CNN Tuesday. "It would be seen as carrying the water for the Democrats."
Unlike the Wisconsin GOP, however, Baraka didn't characterize Stein's actions as illegal or unethical, instead saying they were unwise politically...
Jillary Stein - your race to be President some day...is over.
