That makes no sense. in 2000 Bush didn't ask for a recount in any states that he won, why would you expect someone to do so?
I wouldn't....but I would expect that of a group that told me they were not doing this recount request for any candidate, political party of any reason other than to make sure votes were taken and tabulated accurately.
Read some of the following statements about and quotes from the people, who are requesting this recount, and let me know if you think this is simply a search for vote accuracy, vote tabulation accuracy and not specifically on behalf of any candidate or political party who wishes to overturn the existing election result, and is only being done for altruistic reasons to ensure accuracy across the board, and with no vested interest in the outcome.
1) Green party presidential candidate Jill Stein also plans to request recounts in Michigan and Pennsylvania with the millions she has raised online. (D. Ross Cameron / Associated Press)
2) Stein has said she plans to request recounts in the three states — all reliably Democratic in recent presidential elections — to see whether hacking may have taken place, though there's no evidence voter results were hacked or electronic voting machines were compromised.
3) There's no smoking gun here, but we're saying the American public needs to have it investigated to make sure our votes count
4) We're doing this to ensure the integrity of our system
5) Martin said Republicans' response was expected and emphasized that the recount was about determining whether the system was secure
6) The move follows comments by Green Party presidential candidate*Jill*Stein*earlier on Friday that her push for election recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania was aimed at assessing the integrity of the U.S. voting system, not at undermining Republican Donald Trump's White House victory
First of all...there were quite a number of states where the vote tallies were very close. Among them, New Hampshire, which went for Clinton, but had a vote difference of only .4%.....far less than the 1% difference in Wisconsin, and the 1.2% in Pennsylvania. So one has to wonder, if they are only interested in accuracy, why not audit New Hampshire too ?
Hmmm, seems fishy to me. I'm sure they are indeed interested in accuracy, but only accuracy where it helps Clinton win. HRC obviously has Stein on board with her in some fashion. Makes one wonder what roll she promised her if she becomes President.
Jill Stein , a shill of Hillary and now a career ending move just as with Hillary.
For one thing, Stein got a couple of percent in the election, now she is targeting only 3 states for a recount. Why these 3 states?. Only these states. How could they have even mattered to Stein when she lost in all others?. So clever to being with WI and then let Hillary then join the movement.
All 3 states were battleground stakes and crucial for Hillary to win. So, cue Hillary to come back to us , now with a fake and contrite tone . Not to mention the broken face, cracks galore and the scary eye bags. She conceded already and is now back, bringing with her the famous Clinton political bag of tricks.
Hillary, can you just not go away , once and for all , you are old , not liked, have plenty of money , go and enjoy it, or can you enjoy life at all ?
I hope they get the recount they want it it proves that she lost. Only thing better than seeing her and her cry baby supporters lose once, would be to see them lose twice.
No they are going to rig it somehow through the recount process.
That's my fear exactly.
Democrats repeatedly cheated, lied, and were so corrupt during this election, I fear they have found a way to rig the recounts.
Are republicans aloud to help and monitor during recounts??!!
Hillary has not herself "called for a recount." She will "take part" if there is a recount, which is doubtful, because there is no evidence of any tampering or other problem.
Hillary's lawyer further stated that any recount was unlikely to change the outcome of the election. So, it seems it is simply cathartic, and a waste of somebody else's money (Jill Stein has collected about four million in donations, which she says will be put to good use even if there is no recount).
I hope it is true, because I am pretty sure he'll quickly change his stance on not prosecuting her. So she'll lose AGAIN and go to jail. It's a win win!
Brings to mind the poem Trump once recited about the "snake". How the snake would always be a snake. Just as Hillary will always be Hillary.
This time, Trump, and the majority of voters will agree, will need to give the nod to intensive investigations of Hillary and the Clintons. Enough of the peacemaking moves by Trump. As they were just taken to be weakness and softness by the Clintons. Trump would better learn from this recent actions by Hillary Clinton. If not, and he continues with a regal benevolence towards his enemies , they will be teeing up for more attacks on him. Politicians will never change, he must never lose sight of that fact.
For Trump he must remind himself, he just ruined the ambitions of a political dynasty. They were never going to go away that easily. He must be as merciless now with them as they with him. The same goes with Obama.
Pres elect Trump, you started a War, won a battle, your enemies are living to fight other battles against you. The war never ended and has only really begun.
They can't. You see, the media, which they trust implicitly, told them that Hillary was going to win. So now, they have to figure out why she didn't. Must be Putin's fault.
In the recount are they going to include all the illegals and dead people that voted or not this time?
