Both political parties understand the importance of the state. The DNC held it's 2012 convention in NC, the 2014 Senate race was the most expensive one in US History, and Trump & Clinton fought a pitched battle for NC this year.
NC is the poster child for minority voter suppression in a crude and racist attempt to keep blacks in particular from voting. As soon as the voting right act legislation was not extended the repub creeps began their move to curtail minority voting rights. Shameful and again racist behavior and it continues to this very day.

It more than likely cost HC NC but at least McGrory is gone!

Why bother you won't accept facts anyway. So i'll take my cue from the US Justice Department rulings, and the federal courts that ruled that the NC voting laws were enacted with "precision" to thwart minority voting efforts. Lastly, William Barber and the NAACP have also made convincing arguments that support the theory of the case - namely NC is attempting to limit minority voter turnout.

I am sure if NC could bring back the days of the poll tax and asking blacks how many jelly beans there are in a jar they would.

Disgusting!

Hmm. You probably don't realize that all of that all of that was voted in and supported by Democrats when they were running the General Assembly.

Democrats controlled the NC GA from Reconstruction until 2012.

Yes the same democrats that are now republicans. When Johnson passed the civil rights legislation in the 60's he predicted the south was gone for the democrats. So the old racist democrats are now modern day alt right repubs.

You of course know the history so surprised by your prior comment.

I was wondering how long it would take you to drop the R-word. You know you were wanting to say it all along.

Of course it's not borne out by fact. There isn't a single case in NC of someone being denied the vote because they are Black.

Play cute all you want but the intent of this voting legislation in NC is to suppress the minority vote which in my book counts as a race based strategy intended to limit the voting rights of minorities.

And that is yes racist, even in the new world of Trump and the alt right. It will be fought and called out for what is, so get used to it.
