This case might be finalized before the new Justice os there and it us unclear if one justice would be enough considering the current make up of the court and Kennedy. Now if there were more vacanies which xhanged the balance of the court, that could certainly change things, but we do not know when that will happen.

The fact of the matter the districts have been challenged in court every single time the state has redrawn them since the Federal goverment told NC it must create two districts that will insure a Black person is elected.

Racial quotas don't work. This is prime example of it.
