He's an old 71 too. Considering he was a POW. Those years had to have weared on him. Granted with his status, I'm sure he's had above average healthcare, but still his age is something that should be taken into consideration. Not so much his age, but possible health issues that may arise due to his age. It makes his VP choice that much more important than any other candidate.

If McCain is elected we will have MORE of the falling asleep during important meetings and when things go horrible wrong and he is being interviewed by the senate he will suddenly NOT remember because those crucial moments fell during his public nap time, shades of Reagen.

I must tell you that there has been a lot of review of McCains public appearances, speeches etc over the last 20 years - til today.

And most, if not all, agree, that his speech patterns, his memory of facts, his demeanor etc show no degradation at all. Hence why you hear, or will hear, any serious discussion about it.

Only innuendo's. Not facts.

Tell me, was there any such suspicion about Reagan?

Its no accident that corporate America doesn't keep men of this age around. Only in American politics do we find men who should be at home with the grandchildren. Just the other day a Senator who is 90 years old was taken to the hospital for heavens sake.

It has nothing to do with the desire to serve the public....it is simply GREED.

Ronald Reagan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Although I was very young during his presidency, I remember several occasions reading news stories about Ronnie being caught sleeping on the job. It was also rumored that Nancy Reagan was the real POTUS during Ronnie's term.

As for McCain, he strikes me as the least intelligent of the top 3. Sorry but he also looks like he has one foot in the grave and the other on a bananna peel. While I respect him for his service to America, IMHO, his policies are far too liberal and I have no doubt if he is elected his presidency would be a continuation of the current idiot in office.

Mccain certainly hasn't shown any age in the senate where he is much more ploitically a factor than either Obama or Clinton. Seems that both democrats and reublicans want the same old vote the party line type of leaders. As far as reagan ;I will just judge him by results whcih will make him one of the greats;especaily in foreign policy.
