"The most transparent administration ever" as I recall. The the short memory of liberals is why they are out. They won't be missed.

Yeah, that is what is soooo confusing about trump saying he is going to drain it. Do you think he is aware that is was already drained? Doesn't sound like it. <sarcasm>

Nothing confusing, unless you are a leftist, such as you. And you really think the swamp was drained, after electing both pelosi and debbie...again.....

I would imagine that the more educated/smarter people who voted for Trump are beginning to say "Hey, wait a minute !" as they realize he is populating his team with EXACTLY the type of swamp dweller he promised to get rid of. It will take a while before the less educated see the trend, but eventually they will come to this realization also.

Other countries have had exactly what we have seen in this election occur in their elections in the past, and all of them have turned out to be a disaster. They have had a rich billionaire businessman come along, loudly proclaim he was going to change things, and he got elected. Almost all, without exception, ended up in corruption and scandal.

Their people bought into the belief that a successful businessman was what they needed to run the country, just like people here did, and they found out business and running a country are two entirely different skill sets. The men they elected were more concerned about lining their own pockets, as opposed to helping the little guys who voted for them. One country that comes to mind is Italy, but there are several others , as well.

They are just another brand of hypocrite. Trump is no more honest, real or than any of the politician or system they criticize. His small base doesn't care what he does--it is a cult of personality.

Drain the swamp was just another rally chant--empty words. Kind of pathetic if anyone believed it. Trump will create the biggest swamp we have ever seen.

How would those who hate 'business as usual' in DC explain the Taiwan deal? It was a lobbying effort by Bob Dole on behalf of his law firm. It wouldn't really mean much except that the Trump cult blasted everyone and anyone involved in this kind of mercenary activity.

Trump paid back Dole for his support, and managed to give a personal ego-satisfying snub to China. He does not care one bit how it affects the country or larger diplomatic picture (which he he has no clue about anyhow).

I think this is called "Pay to Play" a quid pro quo that Trump has abused for years, and for which his cult disingenuously criticize others. Sad!

"...Dole, the only past Republican presidential nominee to endorse Trump before the election, briefed the campaign’s policy director, set up meetings between campaign staff and Taiwanese emissaries, arranged for Taiwan’s delegation to attend the Republican National Convention, and helped tilt the party platform further in the island’s favor, a lobbying disclosure document filed with the Justice Department... He even arranged for members of Taiwan’s ruling party to take a White House tour, according to the filing..."

Taiwan paid the 93-year-old Dole and his law firm, Alston & Bird, $140,000 between May and October, according to the new disclosure. His spokeswoman declined to comment.

Dole lobbied Trump's team on Taiwan for months - POLITICO

All of those who voted for the populist Trump, hoping he would "drain the swamp" of big money interests, should now know that you've been conned and hoodwinked. Trump doesn't give a darn about you and your petty interests. He and his wealthy elite will run this country and all of us regular folks into the ground.

Of all the people he's selected, none of them are making minimum wage.None of them are affected by ACA.None of them are concerned about SSI. None of them have to worry about if jobs will be returning to America or being outsourced. And to think, the is something the American people wanted!

I don't get it either. When you ask Trump supporters why he spent his entire campaign criticizing Hillary Clinton for making speeches at Goldman Sachs and saying she was in the pockets of Wall Street insiders, but is now surrounding himself with Goldman Sachs executives, they have no answers, so they start personal attacks and name calling.

Well, if he is draining it, he's using sewerage for a refill. What's even worse is that a U.S. President (elect) would openly criticize the CIA and all the other intelligence agencies that protect us.

Of course, Trump said a soldier who is tortured in a POW camp isn't a hero because he was caught, so nothing should surprise me.
