They're gaining people that are escaping divers blue states. Eventually, their politics will destroy these areas, and they'll move on like locusts. OR and WA will be CA with crap weather in 20 years. These "open minded" people will suddenly find themselves surrounded by diversity and jump ship.
I live in Seattle WA.............The most closeted racist city on EARTH. The people up here are just as racist as the people in my home town of San Antonio, they just don't know it. They love diversity, as long as it's Asian or it's not in their backyard.
CA's not doing that bad. It's been smoking Texas in job and wage growth for almost two years. Oregon has blown past Texas in average hourly wages. Oregon has gone from $23.78 in October of 2015 to $25.00 in September of 2016. Texas went from $24.56 to $24.59.

What does that have to do with ANYTHING I just posted?
Urban CA is a dirty crime infested hell-hole just like most of urban texas. My post had literally nothing to do with wages or job growth. It had to do with people fleeing CA only to relocate to OR or WA because CA is a dump these days.
But since you brought it up, you can buy a 3-bedroom house in a decent neighborhood in Texas for under 100k. You can't do that in OR, and you can't even buy a parking space for that in California. It's not apples to apples.
Let's split the country into two. Clintonland gets that 64% of GDP, and Trumpland gets the 36%.
Fair?
You obviously didn't understand how a presidential election works. There is only one winner and it isn't Clinton. Trump won and is the President Elect. Next election, Trump supporters will be the ones with the high output!!!

Investment banking (or iBanking as the kids say) adds nothing to the real economy, but makes the GDP numbers look real good.
I feel quite good that Trump won the counties with the closed factories and the unemployed steel workers rather than the counties with the iBankers and the social justice warriors. The country is finally on the right track. His base is the working person who has been deemed to be useless old history, outsourced to China and Mexico, and whose values are comedy fodder on the three big networks.
I wonder how Pocahontas, from the blond haired blue eyed Viking wing of the 'Native Americans,' thinks about her party representing the filthy rich rather than the poor struggling working class that elected President Trump.

Sounds like a plan to me but that is not going to work out the way you expect. Let's take energy for example.... The headquarters for a gas company or utility company is likely to be located in Clintonlnad. The assets such as wells, mines and power plants are going to be located in Trumpland. You now have a bunch of out work paper pushers because they have nothing to sell and Trumpland is jacking up the price on your electric.
Shall we start considering food and other resources like wood, metals.... ??? How about diapers?
These dorks trying to count votes are like a football team who got they ass beat on the scoreboard but claim they threw for more yards.
On the bright side, this is like a continuous loop of seeing HRC lose again and again.
As a rump fan, I love that.
