How about a Pence-Santorum ticket? Then you could have the Ayatollah and a Mullah as a two-fer.

Evangelicals will vote for any candidate who promises to appoint conservative justices to the Supreme Court. As long as the candidate promises do that, said candidate can be a New York City social liberal with several divorces and sexual assaults under his belt.

No need to actually nominate a self-described evangelical like Cruz or Santorum.

I voted for Trump, but I would never vote for Santorum. He's a religious nut that worries too much about what goes on in other people's bedrooms.

2-term Representative, 1-term Senator, all served in the 90s. By 2020, a time over 25 years in the past.

3-time loser as a Presidential candidate since then.

If there was ever a time Rick Santorum should have become president, 2016 should have been the year. The people were ready to vote for an angry, vindictive toad for president, and they got it done.

But even then, Santorum was the right toad. That he was undone by Donal Trump shows just how truly unliked the guy is.

Santorum was a two term Senator, won re-election in 2000 lost by 18 in 2006.
