It is generally said that the greatest moment of misplaced overconfidence in history occurred before the battle of Tigrancerto, which finished Armenia as a world power, when Tigranes the Great, at the head of an army of 250,000, including 40,000 heavily armored cavarly, looked across the battefield towards Lucullus and the 12,000 Romans approaching him, and commented to Mithradates of Pontus, who stood at his side: "If they have come as ambassadors, they are to many...if as soldiers, they are too few."

It is now the second greatest moment of misplaced overconfidence in history.

You guys have run out of things to post, haven't you ? Maybe some substantive discussions on relevant issues might be a refreshing change, otherwise, all we keep seeing is more and more of the same old same old.

Hang in there, Jan 20 is right around the corner and we are going to have LOTS to talk about from then on. The confirmation hearings are going to be a blast. If he thinks that motley crew he has assembled are going to breeze on through, he is in for a rude awakening.

Nobody forces you to read these topics however.

A rude awakening? You mean like the rude awakening that he would not be nominated and/or the rude awakening that he would not be elected POTUS?

The only ones I see attempting to deal with rude awakenings are those that supported the morally, mentally and physically incompetent Hillary Clinton.

I am happy to see that Clinton supporters are finally realizing that Trump did win the election as I was starting to have serious doubts about that crowd! Reality and liberalism obviously don't walk hand-in-hand!

This is the Elections forum, you know. It's where people come to discuss elections. Since there are no upcoming elections on the immediate horizon, one might take for granted that the recently completed election will be the primary topic of discussion here.

Those not interested in discussing it or reading those discussions would be better served to browse elsewhere at this point in time.

If thy are rational, that is.
