Something different happened in November. Many conservative voters chose Hillary Clinton for president. Donald Trump only won the district by 1.5 percentage points even as GOP District 6 incumbent Tom Price won by 24 points. The reason for the ticket splitting likely lies in one key demographic.

The 6th District, which includes part of Atlanta and its affluent northern suburbs, is loaded with college graduates.

The popular vote doesn't matter only to those who wish to deny reality. The Trumpettes just can't seem to connect the dots for some reason. Oh well, it doesn't really matter. It won't change what's coming.

California is a freak of nature -- plus they hate America and want to secede.
So their votes don't count in my book.
What a ridiculous thing to say. I think the popular should matter more then the electoral vote because it represents what the people want. I live in a county that has the same population as the whole state of Montana. Montana gets 3 electoral votes, yet my state with almost 6 million get 10 electoral votes.

Yeah it totally matters. Even though Hillary lost over 30 states, she won the popular vote, which is what truly matters in the end. That's why she's the President...oh wait no she's not.

Wink Democrats spending millions just to try winning a House seat

It's ironic that the democrats tout that President Trump is not as popular with democrats but then why spend millions just for a single House seat?

Panic? It's Georgia...

And why do you think that the loyalty of a nation founded upon questioning of authority and power can be bought and sold?

Who said it can be bought and sold? The OP because of the title of this thread?

Both sides are pouring money into this race. Why do you think the republicans put so much money into the Kansas race. This seat isn't important by itself but because it's Tom Price's seat and Trump narrowly won here it is important to prove a point.
