These numbers aren't just exactly what the Democrats were hoping for going into Tuesday's special election – they're even better.

You do realize there is going to be a runoff? The Democrats wanted a runoff instead of a win?

Do you think Ossoff will actually live in the district by then?

Of course a win would have been nice....but just five months after the federal govt. when Republicans won.....a Republican stronghold in Georgia is at risk -- too close for comfort, of being lost to a Democrat.

That's Newt Gingrich's old seat -- too close for comfort.

Just think of all the other districts were there isn't a stronghold that went Republican last vote....hmmmmmmm they are deeply at risk.

So no it isn't a big win -- but it's making Republicans nervous. When was the last time a rookie President dealing with things like Syria, Iran, etc.....took the time to get involved and campaign against a candidate.....

Of course if the Democrat loses, it is all because Trump is so great right?

Ossoff $8,000,000 as the democrat's darling candidate vs Handel $183,000 against a cadre of other republican candidates and the democrats STILL couldn't buy the seat! All eyes are on Ossoff, all votes are on Handel.

I guess the next question is about the runoff. Will Rs all rally around Handel? And will Ds all show up to vote again?

Its actually a pretty stunning race in that Price won by 23 and a D was within 2 points of hitting 50. That's better than the two main party candidates did on the whole last fall.
