i have read different polls on who would be more likely to capture republican and independent votes in the general election if republicans crossed party lines and wonder which candidate those voters would choose. (so please this is not for registered democrats, but republicans and independents to answer)

I am a female, I would vote for Obama because I cannot stand Clinton's tactics. I see her as a spoiled child that thinks it is already hers!

Definitely not as a Republican, but as an Independent, I could not support Obama. I just don't think he has the experience, been around the game long enough, reached across the aisle enough, accomplished enough, withstood public scrutiny for long enough, or has the foreign policy experience to be President yet. I also think Obama will lose a lot of moderate and Obamacan support once he's hammered on in the general election as having a more liberal voting record than Ted Kennedy.

Obama is definitely the candidate that I just don't think is prepared for the job. Between McCain and Clinton, it would be a very difficult choice for me because both are qualified, and I would probably listen to a couple debates and decide on issues. I also don't really approve of all of Clinton's tactics, but at the end of the day I tend to ignore that and ask myself 2 questions. Who is prepared for the job? And where do they stand on the issues of improving our nation?

I'm a Republican, I couldn't support either. I have too many fundamental differences with the DNC in regards to the economy, and the Fed's role in it. It's nothing personal against either of them. But I do like Hillary remotely better.

Wouldn't vote for either, but at least Clinton is more of a grown-up.

You would not say that if you saw the Ohio debate!
