Republican Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehiten of FL-27 has announced she will not seek re-election next year. Ros-Lehiten has been one of the more vocal critics of Trump in her party, and was also one of the first GOP members of the House to come out in support of SSM. She represents a heavily Hispanic (especially Cuban) district in the Miami area that was once strongly Republican, but has trended increasingly Democratic. There were only handful of seats that trended more against Trump than FL-27. Clinton defeated Trump in the district 58.6-38.9. There is no other Congressional District in the country in which Trump lost by a greater margin that is currently held by a Republican.

That is her choice; good for her for standing up for what she believes in even if I don't agree. I am sure we will hear more about this as time goes by.

Not exactly sure what that has to do with the topic at hand....

Fact of the matter is a long term well entrenched Republican incumbent is retiring that represents a district that was once heavily Republican, but has trended heavily Democratic. It is a district that Trump lost by 20 points. Trump doing very poorly in this once Republican district combined with it being an open seat makes it very vulnerable for Republicans.

I'm glad to see her go. A strong Republican will take her place. Her formerly Republican views began to get very odd after her daughter decided to attempt to look like a man.

And Cubans are against illegal immigration, teaching schoolkids gender weirdness, welfare, food stamps, befriending Islamic terrorists, and the rest of the stuff liberals adore.
