Lack of understanding of social theory on topics such as feminism, racism and economics, progressive taxation leads to the poor and uneducated voting against their own best interests. They look at such theories with contempt because think it is elitist when actually they explain their condition and what social policy will help them.

I always got a laugh when rebubli-nazi radio hosts used to tell their listeners they were the 'best and brightest'.

You can tell one who drank the Kool-Aid when they refer to themselves as an 'educated voter'.

Brainwashing is so easy when you play to someone's ego!

Your assumption that either party really has that groups best interests at heart is laughable.

Also, with your keen understanding of economics....what does 6 million uneducated poor illegals do to the wage pressure for poor uneducated Americans that compete with them for the same labor and service jobs?

The problem with this topic is the OP came up with nothing more than a vast generalization that they probably couldn't actual defend if it came to that.

I always thought we should vote for what was the best interest of the country, therefore all of us. Voting for our own interest reeks of selfishness.

Just more progressive back slapping and another thread to be transparently elitist. You obviously believe you have a better grasp of politics, you pride your education and place yourself above anyone without a piece of paper to prove they are smart. Arrogant much?

Some of the dumbest people with zero common sense are educated fools. I know because they were my clients for years.

Just look at how many right-wingers who think liberalism, communism and socialism are the same thing.

In fact, just a few days ago, a right-wing poster here made a thread saying that Bernie is for socialism. No, Bernie is for a Socialist Democracy, a very different system.
