Democrats made a colossal mistake nominating somebody already plagued by so much scandal and then assuming the Obama coalition would turn out, allowing her to coast to victory. I blame Democrats, to some extent, for the disaster we are currently dealing with in this country. Hillary was absolutely the worst possible choice to run against somebody like Donald Trump.
The white working class is now getting screwed by the orange oompa loompa they did elect, who bold-faced lied to them about how their health care would be better, cheaper and available to all, how medicare and medicaid and SS would not be cut, and how he would bring them fabulous well-paying jobs.
It was all lies and the working class ate it up.
They are being screwed by him.
However, at least he talked to them and at least made an effort to pretend to care about them.
They didn't want to hear all about "checking their privilege" or be lectured to by people like Obama and Hillary.
Bernie would've been a better choice for them but the Democratic nomination was locked up by Hillary before he even entered the race, he never had a chance.

The Democrats needed someone who was an "anti-Obama" not necessarily on policy but on tone.
Obama was an elitist professor. The Democrats needed someone who could talk at the same level as working class voters. Hillary was viewed by them as a condescending, scandal prone elitist (all true, by the way).
I don't know if Bernie was the answer or not. He seemed like a crazy uncle as opposed to a condescending professor so maybe he'd have had a better shot.
Trump talked at the same level as these people and pretended to care about them. Hillary kept spoon feeding them liberal buzzwords and ideas that they either didn't care about or didn't agree with.
You MUST COMPETE if you want to show that you are not a parasite you must work hard and as efficiently as the chinese, the indians and the mexicans, can you?
If you are refuging into a PROTECTIONIST economy then you are showing your INCOMPETENCE AS A WORKING CLASS.
The lack of competitors leads to INCOMPETECE. in this case your incompetence screams for getting competitors out.
The More you preach Protectionism the more you scream your INCOMPETENCE.
On the other hand Right wing voters must understand that the more they love their Strong Army, the poorer they become, they work hard, yes, but a big share of their taxes go to sustain their proud military, and then they come and complain that they need to go back to protectionism since they can't affort a Strong Army, a single paid Health Care System, a tuittion Free Public University System, a honorable house made of Brics and Concrete rather than Wood and Paper. This is pure mathematics, the more they complain about their incompetence the more they show they are not understanding maths.
They must Change their Paradigms of thought if they want to change their current situation. CUT Military Spending to HALF or less, and fund the Health Care System and the Public University System. That is the proper way of thought.

I can tell you what Trump is doing for the white working class: entertainment! Every day it's something else. If it's not his blundering in front of world leaders, it's his ineptitude at handling the job. Watching this whole thing spiral out of control is priceless!
A thousand years from now when they're sifting through the remains of our civilization, they'll look at these 4 years and ask just what the hell were we thinking. They'll wonder if this was a joke or did we throw ourselves into the crapper on purpose.
She thought she was the "chosen one", "it was hers" and didn't have to work for it.
She didn't learn the 1st time she ran and lost to Obama.
She exhibits the same attitude then as now, It was NOT HER fault, it was (fill in the blanks) fault.
