LOL, its is sad that you can type that and not see the flaw in "the courts" part, basically admitting your party doesnt want true representation of the people within those certain states, so a court has to force them to do the right thing.

Oh, the irony.

Of course there is. Do you live under a rock and not listen to the news. Trump is a liar

What president has lied so much as Trump. He may even be accused with obstruction of justice. This is watergate all over again. Our country is in such turmoil, nothing is getting done with him as president.

Obama is still the all time king of lying, and The Clintons still win the obstruction of justice award. Yet you voted for all of them. The reason nothing is getting done is Democrats and establishment Republicans.

Gerrymandering is much more difficult for Democrats than Republicans. As Democratic strength is largely in urban areas, it is difficult to dice and splice them to even out the vote.

Also the 23 African America majority-minority districts, 1 Asian, and 30 Latino majority-minority districts are very prized by their constituents. All of the AA districts have a Democratic congressmen, and most of the Latino districts are Democrat.

The House gerrymander that Democrats complain about is mostly a phenomenon in five states -- Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. President Barack Obama carried all five states in 2008, yet after the 2010 Census, Republicans in those states drew district maps that were very favorable to their party. Those five states have a combined 73 seats in the House -- currently 52 Republicans and 21 Democrats. Those 73 seats are all held by the party favored to hold those districts, according to the Cook Partisan Voting Index.

I really, truly, honestly don't think the Dems have a chance to take the House unless they replace Pelosi BEFORE the election. But the California delegation makes up such a huge part of the overall Dem conference that she is really difficult to dislodge. Ultimately I think she needs to make the decision to retire. But people close to her need to start letting her know that she does more harm than good at the top of the ticket.

If you replace Pelosi, the House is in play. Not even because of anti-Trump sentiment, which has been overblown by the media. Just because the president's party almost always loses seats, including in the last 3 midterm elections.

The key to 2018 will be if Trump's policies work for America. The Democrats have to be seen as helping those policies or promoting their own agenda that backs American workers. Right now the voters are looking right through one-world-order politicians and they do not want any part of it - they want jobs and job security. Of course that means the Democrats have to dump their leadership and return to their roots.

The California delegation has nothing to do with Pelosi retaining the leadership(the 39 Democrats from Cal isnt enough to elect a leader)(she won 134-63), it has to do with House Dems not bowing to the will of Republicans and Berniecrats.

all the BS attacks on Pelosi about losing seats and right's opinion of her make no sense.

Pelosi was leader back when Dems had a similar number of seats after the 2004 election. Somehow even with her being the leader, Dems were able to capture 257 seats in 2008.
