"Politically poisoned"?? Really? Who ever said you were? Or are you casting this aspersion back at someone else, me, perhaps? Sorry, I don't drink that Kool-Aid.

Is it so hard to write "working people" or "folks with jobs", instead of assuming that the term "man" includes women? If you had used "mankind", you might have a good argument. But you didn't.

You really think we live in a "cultural Marxist alternative reality"?? Good grief. Get that paranoia checked out, would you, please?

Now, can we return to the topic? Could Oprah successfully run for president, and how would she do if elected?

In general though if you're on welfare or unemployed for large chunks of time...NO DICE. You should not be allowed to vote if you are not paying taxes.

(In a perfect world...)
This would be a massive new bureaucracy, meaning the elderly cant vote, the stay-at-home moms cant vote, the disabled cant vote, the students cant vote, the sick cant vote. Not a good situation. Especially for the elderly who drop out of the workforce as they are subject to age discrimination in a rapidly changing world.

I'd prefer an experienced politician on the Dem ticket.

But at least Oprah is an actual self-made billionaire, unlike the fake one in the OO who inherited hundreds of millions from his daddy and somehow managed to lose money running a casino.

I think it depends on who she'd be running against. If it was Trump or Pence she'd hands down run. If it was Romney, I'm not sure she'd feel the need to run---not because she couldn't win against him but because she'd trust him to bring credibility back to the country and to the office of the presidency. Same with other candidates. She will not throw her hat in the ring officially until she knows the other candidates in the lineup in both parties.

Trump is an overweight 71 year old, so I dont think Sanders' age would be that big of an issue. He's only 4 years older than Trump and definitely more fit.

Republican unity is built primarily out of fear of Democrats and liberals, though.

I like Oprah but don't see her coming close to the effort required much less taking on the headaches of the job.
Whether Oprah wants the headaches of he job remains to be seen, but Oprah is one hard-working woman.

If she decides to run, I suspect she will put out the effort to campaign and rally the troops.

It wouldnt be a good situation if she's another puppet of Wall Street and big pharma though. There is nothing in her background that suggest she would be pushing hard to jail Wall Street crooks and fight for a national health care system and much stronger labor rights.
