Most people did not like Obama because of his politics, policies, and anti American rhetoric, NOT because of his skin color, nor race. Total cop-out by Oprah.

Guess she borrowed that line out of 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.'

Oh for the love. No more politically inexperienced celebrities as President. Haven't we learned anything?

At least have them start out as something lower stakes first. Let her run for local office or something.

God, people are stupid. Every day I get more and more convinced that letting the public vote is a mistake LOL.

Okay I'm kidding with tat last sentence. Kinda.

I know, a celebrity, a billionaire, no political experience, much more likable and popular than Trump, and really a self made billionaire. Didn't have the advantage of a wealthy father to give millions to jump start her life.

At least Oprah is a human being. I'm not sure what Trump is.

If Oprah was 20 years younger I believe she might run. I doubt she has the desire or willing to put out the effort to take on a difficult and demanding job at this time of her life.

I'd also bet there is plenty of dirt in her closet that she would not want exposed.

Wow, and y'all put Trump in White House, and it's been non stop drama from day one. So, I guess only Republican would think to put a billionaire celebrity, with no political experience in the White House and that's fine with you. But the democrats can't do it.

Default Oprah elected POTUS?

Listening to Oprah last night, it occurred to me that Oprah could absolutely win the 2020 election.

She's a self-made, billionaire entrepreneur, an actual TV star, and articulate to boot.

As far as I know, she has always played down such suggestions, denied she has any such plans.

However, last night after she being honored with the Cecil B DeMille lifetime achievement award, her partner Stedman Graham, told the LA Times: “It’s up to the people. She would absolutely do it.”

Oprah Would

"The hard work shouldn’t lay at her feet. It should lay at ours."

Oprah for president? I have a better idea - Chicago Tribune

There will a flutter of disparaging posts, calling Democrats desperate crybabies, references to anal sex and so forth, but those who still have even a tenuous grip on sanity here, what do you think of Oprah's chances?

Then too, they probably have dirt on her and told her to just stay out of it. Or else. One thing we've learned is that outsiders are NOT welcome in DC.
I'd pay money to see a debate between the most moral and universally liked person in the public eye and the most dishonest and despicable person in the public eye. Trump would start off by calling Oprah fat and ticking off half the women in the nation. And your comment about 'having dirt on her'---that's a joke, right? She's told it all on herself. I don't know that I'd want her to run because I think she can do more good in the world doing what she does but she's just as qualified as what Trump was when he ran. And she actually created her own wealth without the help of a daddy's handout like Trump did. Naive and gullible? Sorry, but you are mistaking principled and morale for naive and gullible. She's lived a big life and has lived all stratas of society.
