They might win hardcore blue states (CA, OR, WA, HI, NY, NJ, MA) but the moderate blue states (NV, CO) would flip red.

She is a very scary woman. "You didn't build that!"

I actually have a friend I play bridge with that loves Warren and why? Because Warren will make sure all my friends granddaughters get free educations for as long as they want to stay in school. When she told me that, I was just was speechless. I wouldn't never expected to hear her make a comment like that. She is a great bridge player but I am not sure she has her head on straight.

I like Warren and all...

But can't the Dems come up with somebody who isn't yet eligible for senior discounts at the Kountry Kitchen?

If Democrats want to win, they will need to nominate a white male Democrat from the South or the Midwest.

As much as I dislike Trump, I am a realist enough to know that any Northeastern or West Coast liberal or any minority will lose to Trump. However, a white Democrat from Middle America (of the Bill Clinton ilk) could easily defeat Trump in 2020.

Agreed. Problem is that huge swaths of the Democratic Party resent or even outright hate anyone in the category of 'white male from the South or Midwest'.

Why do the Liberals and Media ignore Jim Webb?

Not to mention his age. He doesn't want to run again, and he won't. He'll be happy to know what he accomplished and will finally more or less retire and play golf the rest of his life.
That's true. He also defeated all of his detractors by winning. Trump has nothing left to prove.

This four years will really take its toll on him, and I wouldn't be surprised if he bowed out for health or family reasons.

There's also a good possibility he may be challenged by one or more Republicans in the primaries and lose.

He's 71, thrice married, suggested he voted for Trump.
