Did you join in the "fun" when all of the rumors of Trump and sexual assaults were taking place?

It's easy to make this statement when you are on the losing end of the argument. But if your side is on the winning end and the mud is slinging against the opponent, it's fun to join in, isn't?

As far as winning goes, we are in the reality TV era in this country. That's what gets people's attention. That's what gets media time. That's why Maddow is on top of the cable news ratings, because Trump/Russia is now a political reality show. Attention may not necessarily lead to election wins, but it is more popular. In the end, you need issues to run on. The only issue the Dems have is defeating Trump by any means necessary.
It is sad. I think the Kartrashians are one of the worst influences ever to be foisted upon the viewing public. Still, knowing how much media attention Kim's b**t garners, while I was looking through the "Youtube video from 1985 just shows how healthy people looked in the 1980s compared to today" thread I wondered how much Kim's b**t (which hadn't been brought up in the thread) influences the change in appearance of people that was being discussed in that thread.

And its being uncivil. Its lying and misrepresenting your opponent. Yes im aware this has been done, but what we are seeing winning is taking it to new extremes.

No matter who wins, I suspect it will further damage this country. We wont have people in government who see it as a service. It will be greed. It will be being nasty. It will bring out the worst in all of us.
It has been going on for decades, but it used to be more candidate vs candidate, but now that media has become political and looking for sensationalism to be "popular" it has taken on a new life.

Example is Time-Warner donating over $800,000 to the Clinton campaign. CNN is owned by Time Warner. Look at that crap that CNN has shoveled and continue to shovel. Media has put it over the top.

I don't think we have many people in government that see it as a "service". I do think that Trump is "giving back" in his case though, no "pay to play" as a way of making money for a foundation.
