So it seems that the only reason that democrats can come up with to vote for them is "the other party is worse". That's it. Basically the same platform that lost them the 2016 elections.

I hope you dems are expecting to keep losing bigly, otherwise you're going to very disappointed in 2018 and 2020.

Democrats’ midterm plans start with these horrible anti-Republican bumper stickers

We were at dinner tonight and talked to a guy and his friends who were union members. He said they made twice as much as non union members and their benefits were better. Democrats are for unions who look out for their workers. Republicans hate unions because they don't want to pay what they are worth when they can pay non union minimum wage.

Im guessing you have never gone to the Republican store ?

Im attempting not to attack the OP, but this is the problem with posts like this, Both sides do this every year.

The Republican Store had a shirt for the longest time that said "Moving Day, Jan 20, 2017" and plenty of others.

Again, I dont understand why Democrats get attacked for for doing the same thing Republicans do ?

Why hold each other to different standards ?

I'm not a Republican. This is not acceptable to me.

Did you get that from CNN?

But Dems support illegal aliens who take jobs in construction and manufacturing lowering the wages. At one time unions were a good thing until they became political and worked for politicians rather than the members paying the dues. I grew up in MI in the 1960s, and I know about the good that unions USED to do.

I think we'll see a lot of negativity from the Dems still ranting and whining over the election in 2016. Their hatred has built to a point that they have become irrational. Being negative did Hillary Clinton little good, says this "deplorable" who helped to elect President Trump!

Problem is Trump like politicians are AGAINST the free trade policies that send those union jobs overseas because companies can pay less to workers. If president Trump manages to change the GOP into a protectionist like party then the Democrats are done for. Nehlen in Wisconsin is an America First candidate like President Trump is and I am sure more will pop up to challenge either incumbent republicans who are free traders or democrats who are.

I'm a union electrician, and I can tell you, that that is false. The Dems play to unions, because they're low hanging fruit. The Dems, with the Reps passed a bill in 2014 that cuts protections on multi employer pensions. Bernie Sanders was the only one to introduce a bill to fix that.

As far as "twice as much", in all but the strongest union strongholds that is not true. Maybe 30-50% more depending on the industry, it's definitely better than most non-union counterparts.

He won't do that, he loves cheap labor and cheap goods. Any union member that believes that is dreaming. There are already US made clothing and goods, Trump could've sourced any of his merchandise from them. Trumps MAGA hats are probably the only US manufactured product in his line.

What Trump and the Right want to do is lower our standards to that of 3rd world countries, they're already rolling back worker safety protections, they're going to nix raising the threshold for salaried worker OT (if they don't try to get rid of OT altogether), they want to eliminate Davis-Bacon, which non-union employees LOVE because they make union wages without being union, and they want to push national RtW legislation which would require unions to bargain on behalf of non-dues paying employees if they represent the majority of employees at a work place.

So you're saying you don't get better pay and benefits from being a union member.
