I agree with what she said. Pity the truth can't be spoken in the p.c. lib world. Honestly, do you think that Mr. Obama would be where he is if he were not (half) black?

What an out-of-touch moronic statement she made. Absolutely Pathetic.

Or we might ask if a white man with Obama's resume would have a snowball's chance in hell of getting as far as he has. The answer is no. Proof? John Edwards, who actually had a full term in the Congress.

George W. Bush.

How did his resume compare with Obama's, teatime? Please explain how Bush's was better, seeing how he not only got as far as Obama, but farther -- all the way into the white house.

By your estimation, he must have had some INCREDIBLE qualifications to overcome being white man instead of a hip young black guy.

Does Senator Clinton feel that the media are being sexist? I'd like to hear from her on that, as well as Ms. Ferraro's racial comments about Senator Obama.
Is the media sexist towards Clinton? Please!! Go check out the past stories on her "cleavage" that ran in the Washington Post and various other media. Hillary wore a blouse that wasn't high necked, so they nailed her with the "cleavage" charge. Now do you notice that she never wears anything that doesn't button up (or come up) all the way to her chin practically?

Once you read those and see how ridiculous it all is, compare the number of stories written about the clothing and the physical attributes of the male candidates.

He was a Governor of Texas. Governors are considered to be more responsible and usually have actual bills they have signed, etc.

Governor is better than Senator or Congressman if you want to run for president.

This story is just more hyperbolic cackling from people wishing to make something more out of what's actually quite obvious. She is obviously correct, yet in today's post-American America one can't really speak honestly about certain matters.

If someone said, without mafia connections she wouldnt be where she is, she would complain and have a right to. Her remarks were offensive and racist. Hillary would do well to disassociate from her---but then again, it was probably a desperation stratagy approved by Hillary.

Well, if we put it in those terms, neither Obama, nor Clinton's wife, nor GWB are qualified for the presidency, the first because he is black, the second and third because of nepotism.

Personally, I reject the notion that Mr Obama has gotten this far because of his skin color, but by virtue of his rhetorical skills which, in my view, is legitimate, part of a tradition going back thousands of years.

Nepotism also has a long tradition, even longer, but in this day and age, and in the US tradition, I reject it: neither GWB nor Clinton's wife should have ever been candidates based on the nepotism criteria alone.

You know, they assassinated Caesar, and they had their reasons, even though it didn't work out for them in the end: for six generations they had hereditary empire, and after that military dictatorship (a simplification to be sure, but more or less that's the way it was).

If you would avoid the same fate, cut out the petty bickering and focus on the real issues plaguing the nation, such as energy policy and monetary policy, the gross imbalance between domestic production and consumption.

Naaahhhh !!! Let's argue about how many angels can fit on the head of a pin as the barbarians come crashing at the gates.
