It was just such a great springboard. I couldn't pass it up... But I see your point now.

Worse yet, not only to prove they weren't sexist -- but perhaps some cheating spouses voting for her to alleviate their own guilt! Sounds like an advantage for her there.

I read the first page, but that's as far as I'm going to catch up, so here's my statement:

Maybe Ferraro is right. Obviously Obama wouldn't be where he is if he weren't black. I mean, he's lucky he's not the white spouse of a popular former president or, worse yet, the white son and namesake of a former president in an exceedingly wealthy and prestigious political family. If he had been either of those, he'd be effed in the a. Coattails, gift-wrapped political positions, and family wealth can be such detriments to one's political ceiling.

I don't think most of Obama's supporters see his color, it's a shame those opposed to him keep trying to make such a huge issue out of it. Yes, he won Mississippi. That was expected. But Iowa? Sorry, it's NOT just a "race" thing this time out. I'm in freakin' Montana for God's sakes - everyone I know is excited about Obama's campaign. And no, we're not a bunch of clueless young people! Most of us are middle aged and raising our own "youth". And as far as the good old white boy politicians? We've had ENOUGH thanks.
Wow, what a wonderful post. I agree with EVERYTHING you posted especially about,"As far as the good old white boy politicians? We've had enough". Sassy

Your statement appears to be a contradiction:

If they're not racist, they have nothing to "prove."

If they are racist, they wouldn't vote for him.
