So while I agree in general, don't forget that we had two examples already with the Adams, and the Roosevelt's.
As to bloodlines, Hillary would be eligible, so it must be by marriage as well.

Sounds like you probably qualify, even if we differ concerning our beliefs about the source of brains and free will.
The poster to whom I previously responded sounded as if he or she did not think voting was important or necessary, since in his or her view, God appoints all "leaders" to their positions. My response was that people have free will and should use their best judgement to vote for those whom they consider the best candidates for office.
I share that poster's belief in God, but perceive God very differently, it would appear.
I think qualified people should cherish their right to vote and use it thoughtfully, regardless of their religious beliefs or lack thereof.
