No.

In no particular order of importance:

1. Some of us who were making the point aren't Republicans.

2. "now that this is out in the open"......the accusations against Trump were out there before the election.

If you don't like that he might run again, then do whatever you feel is necessary to bring about circumstances that will result in his deciding not to run for reelection. If that doesn't work, then do whatever you feel is necessary to convince people not to vote for him. You don't have to convince me. I didn't vote for him in 2016, and I won't in 2020.

First of all, Franken is not running again - the original post on this thread is from August.

Second, your point 2 is EXACTLY the point, the GOP has made it clear that claims of sexual assault made public but denied inoculate a GOP candidate and provide no hindrance to them being elected. We saw it with Donald Trump and will likely see it in a few days with Roy Moore.

Theoretically we could see it again with Trump in 2020, but for any number of reasons, I think it's highly unlikely to happen.

But given the GOP's behavior in this matter, why wouldn't it be reasonable for Franken to run again and claim the same thing - people know about the claims, and if they vote for him, they don't care about them.

The only problem for him is that Democrats actually will care, unlike Republicans.

That is exactly what he should do ~ only for Senator and not President. I like Al but I never thought he was a great presidential candidate.
