Which means there will be no reform....
What do you mean by Electoral College votes being awarded proportionately?

Isn't that what happens now?

I was thinking maybe the Democratic party should set an example in their primary system. If one person, one vote is the way to go then there is no need to have Superdelegates. It's like these votes are more special than others, if I understand correctly.

The Electoral College is embodied in the Constitution in Article 2, Section 1, and in the 12th Amendment.

Mike needs to put down his Big Mac & Fries and study the constitution instead. The EC isn't going anywhere.

Don't bother complaining, instead, start working to find 38 states that will agree to change the constitution, and eliminate their own power -- so that the democrats can win every election from now on.

It's not happening.

Or another idea: Go out and find a candidate that can win in flyover country. Obama did it twice, B. Clinton did it twice.

I want my 401K to increase and cash it in early as I near retirement. I was never big politically more now.

I'm getting a kick out of using the term FLYOVER County though. I would think that term would be avoided by both sides.

But still ..... there is no real benefit of the EC today. Why isn't it just EXTRA Government we don't need when we have the votes themselves to use.

If it comes down to the EC again ..... What does that truly mean? That is the question. Is it relevant today as it was original utilized for?

More and more the Nation has its population centers in every region. But mixing more and more.

Again, no one is addressing the EC itself and its need to not have merely largest states have a more voting population and therefore most influence. But to COME DOWN TO FLORIDAY AGAIN? A very populated state today and heavily retired folk to make our choice?
