Common sense dictates that when you keep close company with someone for 20 years, you have similar beliefs and ideals, you KNOW the person. Obama repudiates this reverend's statements, but does not say WHY he stayed with him so long, that is the crux of the issue. WHY did he stay with someone who is a known racist and America hater???? This he did not address in his very eloquent and loquacious speech. So leaves him open still to a measure of suspicion and hypocrisy.

First of all, Obama was referring to his July 22nd speech which he wasn't in attendance and in which he DID NOT lie about. Nothing this man could have said today would change Hillary supporter's minds because you are living in some Hillary fantasy world blind folded and deaf so continue on this denial path all of you follow. Obama supporters could really care less about what you think of his speech today because we know it was an amazing speech and political analyst agree. I think that leaving his church would mean denying his base and not being true to his ideals, and where he sees himself as a black man. Even though it most likely means losing his chances this time around for the WH.
