Perhaps the sample in this poll is skewed, because electoral outcomes in Alabama strongly refute the premise of a Democrat being more popular than a Republican - including the most recent vs. current president. This probably explains why the recent Fox poll had Jones up over Moore, because the more left-leaning voters are over-represented.

Unfortunately I think many Democrats are getting false hope about the upcoming special Senate election based on this type of polling measurement. This is a very polarized era, and Alabama has few swing voters. Choosing a Republican, even a very flawed and compromised person such as Moore, is likely to be the better option for the majority of voters rather than a socially liberal Democrat. Jones is a far better individual on a personal level, but is ideologically out of sync with his state's mostly conservative electorate.

No poll predicted she would win

Polls dont predict they measure , and the polls correctly measured that more people supported Hillary.

Presidential election isn't determined by public support, it's determined by the electoral college, and there was no poll of the electoral college, if there was show it to me

Hillary ran on the exact same policies as Obama. She promised to continue his legacy

Obama just like Trump didn't win because of his policies, Obama and Trump won because they have charisma and celebrity status.

If Obama had the same exact policies but was a dull old man he would have been clobbered by Romney, whose policies he actually borrowed.
