Consider their ages in 2020:

Elizabeth Warren - 70
Hillary Clinton - 72
Joe Biden - 77
Bernie Sanders - 78
Cory Booker - 50

Hard to imagine that Biden or Sanders would have the energy left for a campaign, much less holding office for 4 or 8 years. Warren's too angry, Clinton would never run again. Booker is nearly unknown.

Forget about Garcetti; he's another pro public transit and suburb-hating social engineer just like Bernie, and overseeing a city with higher levels of poverty than before the 1992 riots as Joel Kotkin pointed out in his Dec. 3rd column in the OC Register will do nothing to enhance his national relevance and prospects and sure as hell isn't a record he can defend.

don't count Hillary out, She has massive influence in the party and it looks like she plans to run on the "Russia stole the election from me narrative" which most Democrats believe and support

Count her out.

That 'reason' of yours is nowhere compelling enough for her to run again.

She knows she's all through. She will be too old in 2020, too unliked, and she's too smart to humiliate herself a 3rd time. Once a candidate is licked in a Presidential race, they don't get a second shot these days.

You are wrong in thinking she still has the influence she had in 2015; she does not. It evaporated with her loss and her influence is now wiped cleanly away from party leadership.

That doesn't mean she won't be relevant in the future. She will, but no more than McGovern was after his loss. Or Gore was after his. Both McGovern and Gore remained voices in their party, but neither ever regained their party leadership. And Clinton is older than either of them were when they were defeated.

Did the Republicans ever consider running Goldwater again? Why do you expect the Democrats to be any different?

Do you think Mitt Romney will ever make another try for the Presidency again? Or John McCain? What narrative is so compelling that either would risk another defeat?

Don't count John McCain out. He's old and sick, but he has massive influence and it looks like he plans to run on the "Russia stole the election narrative". And he licked cancer once, so he could do it again.

See how silly that appears to you?

Know this: The thought Hillary could run again and win is just as silly to the Democrats. Thinking otherwise is nothing but wishful. It won't ever happen.

Hillary is still loved by most of the party, the celebrities, and feminist organizations.

the majority of them feel she only lost because of Russia

if she wants to run again most of the party will be behind her 100%
